Topic: EXPECTATION EXCEEDS EXPERIENCE.
Text: Proverbs 10:28.
28: The hope of the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright, in right standing with God) is gladness, but the expectation of the wicked (those who are out of harmony with God) comes to nothing.
What people go through forms a picture in their mind about the future. Bad experiences tend towards bad expectation, the pains, the struggles, the suffering, stress, disappointment discourage the mind about the future, the mind naturally expects little or nothing good in future. In this case you see experience determining expectation. Some people have come to a point that they don’t see anything good about themselves, some have lost hope of their good dreams, some have gotten to the point of starting each day with fear, while some have resigned to fate.
The truth of the matter is that one’s expectation can change one’s experience, I don’t want to sound like a motivational speaker here, let me explain with scriptural passage, according to our passage; The hope of the [uncompromisingly] righteous is gladness… Bible gave assurance for the hope (expectation) of the righteous.
A righteous man can have his life turned around by his expectations. Who is a righteous man? A man whose mind his right with God. So, if his mind his right obviously is expectation will be right. How do I mean? His desires are pure and right.
The expectation is expressed in the place of prayer, though he had bad experiences in the past as he trust God for good things he will see his desires come to pass.
Some preachers have taught that expectation is the mother of manifestation, but this is only applicable to the righteous not everyone, you have to live right before your thoughts can materials into manifestation.
As you keep right standing with God be assured that your expectation can change your experience.
