Topic: JESUS’ ASSIGNMENT
Text: 1 Corinthians 15:23,24.
23: But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
24: Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
Many people did not know that the only assistant of Jesus is to build a kingdom, everything he did was for this purpose. How did I know?
When John the Baptist was saying in Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand ‘ many people of his days thought the world was about to end, rather he simply meant the man that will bring to us God’s kingdom is around. He needed to say that because in the old testament God never promised his people his Kingdom, man was too defied to reign with God.
* Jesus spoke in Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
– He spoke in John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Almost all the parables of Jesus were centred on the kingdom of God. This because God sent him to build his kingdom in our hearts.
The first prayer point in the Lord’s prayer is ‘
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10.
Our text 1 Corinthians 15: 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. When he is done with this assignment God gave him then the end will come.
THE BENEFITS OF HIS KINGDOM.
* Joy and peace Romans 14:17.
* Deliverance from the powers of darkness. Luke 11:20.
* Open heaven Matthew 6:10.
* Destruction of the works of darkness.
* Strange forces can’t control your life when his kingdom is established in your life.
Today is dedicated to asking him to build his kingdom in our hearts and lives.
PRAYER POINTS.
* Captivate my heart Lord.
* Build your kingdom in my heart Lord .
* Let your will be done in life.
* Break down the Kingdom of darkness operating around my life and family in the name of Jesus.
* Joy and peace is my portion in the name of Jesus.
* Touch me by your fingers I break the yoke of darkness in the name of Jesus.
