Topic: THE BEST OF TIME …part 2.
Text: Ecclesiastes 9:11.
11: I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time. NLT
It is generally believed that the book of Ecclesiastes was written by King Solomon, he wrote from the wealth of wisdom God gave him. Hear what God said about his wisdom;
1 Kings 3:11 So God replied, “Because you have asked for wisdom in governing my people with justice and have not asked for a long life or wealth or the death of your enemies
12: I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have.
Solomon is qualified to talk about any subject matter, he was endowed with wisdom for all affairs of life. In our text he talked about determinant of one’s achievement in life and linked it up with time.
Let’s analyse our text:
He started by saying, ‘ I have observed something else under the sun (on earth) ‘, wisdom is an observer, a man of wisdom don’t believe things happen by chance or by mistake. A man of wisdom gives what it takes to find out why things happen. He believes nothing happens without a cause, Solomon in his search summarized his discovery in our text.
Here are his conclusions.
* There are no constant factors in life.
* No formula to achieving success always.
* Factors that determine success vary with time.
* No champion forever.
* Success is a function of time.
* No man has a perfect knowledge of prosperity in life.
The only key to being successful is being at the right place at the right time; meaning taking right decision at the right time.
Success is then determined by decisions, decisions are always influenced by some factors around us, circumstances surrounding many people led them to take decisions that brought them to where they are.
A lot of people have been subjected to circumstances, and are trapped. It is important you know that your decision about your life and the affairs of your life are precious, your decision is the propeller of your destiny.
it is therefore expedient to check the influencer of your decisions. God by his Spirit influences our decision if we allow him, he alone can help us take right decision per time. God bless you.

* Lord, going forward, by your Spirit influence my decisions in Jesus name.
