DAY 3: RENEWAL OF YOUR SPIRIT
Text: Psalms 51: 10.
10: Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Just as the human body sometimes don’t feel alright so also the spirit of a man sometimes may not be right . Our text is the prayer of David after he killed Uriah and slept with his wife. He was heart broken and was asking God for forgiveness of sin, he felt his spirit must be wrong for him to have done such great evil.
When your spirit is wrong you will most likely take wrong decisions.
HOW DO YOU KNOW YOUR SPIRIT IS WRONG?
* If you feel bad for no reason.
* If your decisions are wrong.
* If you make errors within short period.
* If you have desire to sin, i e. a man having feelings for another man’s wife vice versa.
* If you’re scared for no reason.
* If evil thoughts go through your mind.
Let’s ask the Lord to renew right spirit within us as we wait upon him today.
PRAYER
* Lord renew right spirit within me.
* Take away evil desires from my Mind.
* Create in me a new heart.
* Guide my thoughts.
* Let the words of my mouth and the medications of my heart be accepted in your sight.
* Let the Holy Spirit take charge of my spirit in Jesus name.
