Topic: APPEARING BEFORE THE LORD.
Text: 1 Samuel 1: 22,28.
22: But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child be weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the Lord, and there abide for ever.
28: Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshipped the Lord there.
A patient appears before a doctor for healing, if he or she goes elsewhere healing will definitely not be possible. Students who fail to appear in classes should not expect success. It is therefore not wrong to say where you go determines what you get .
Let me put it this way; what you have gotten in life is a function of the places you have been in yesteryears. Exposure to wrong places impacts negatively on ones life.
Appearing before the author of life makes you manifest at your best. Hannah was willing to give Samuel the best of life, so she left him in God’s presence after weaning him.
Let’s look at our text in New Living Translation 1 Samuel 1:22 But Hannah did not go. She told her husband, “Wait until the boy is weaned. Then I will take him to the Tabernacle and leave him there with the Lord permanently.” Hannah left Samuel before the Lord permanently, he was left in Shiloh with no family member, Samuel learnt to be with God from his tender age.
Staying in God’s presence is the best thing anyone can do to himself or herself, I wonder why some people feel reluctant to appear before the Lord. God’s presence is where the best of you can break forth. The author of life specializes in fixing people’s lives. He is set to fix whatever is out of place in your life. God bless you.
