Topic: EXTERMINATION OF DEATH.
Text: 1: Corinthians 15: 55,56.
55: O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56: The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
It will surprise you to know that death was not on the program of God, the body Adam and Eve were given was the one that shouldn’t fall sick let alone die.
Adam interrupted God’s plan for humanity, God made a world without stress and pain, but our first parents couldn’t keep the rules and regulations of that world and they were expelled from it.
They needn’t light in Eden, no bad road, no stress, all they needed do was to till the ground because the ground was automated to yield fruit unto them, but they lost that great provision and was expelled to this world, out of Eden, this is like deporting someone from the best city in the world to a remote place, a village without basic amenities. you can be sure that that fellow will see hell, that’s exactly where the disobedience of Adam and Eve keep human race.
The human race is then exposed to pains sickness, hunger, suffering and eventually death.
It is important to note that Death is a personality, a spirit, a demon, introduced by God to punish the disobedience of Adam and Eve, God introduced the greatest fear of man to him.
Death then becomes a threat to human life, the introduction of suffering and death makes life uninteresting; when a poor man thinks of his suffering for lack of money and a rich man remembers that he will die one day and leaves all he has laboured for, you can conclude that this life is nothing.
God willing to restore man to the experience of everlasting joy, considered it wise to terminate death, to achieve this someone in human form must taste death for everyone, how did I know?
Hebrews 2:10 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Jesus’s death terminates the death sentence on Adam and Eve that affects human race. Do you know that in the old testament the greatest promise given to God’s people is the promise land, there was no resurrection for them until Jesus came to die and resurrected.
Matthew 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
52: And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53: And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Human being is now free from death through Jesus’s death and resurrection. Death has no power over anyone who is born again. We no longer die we simply change address, moved out of this world of suffering to a world where we shall no longer die. A world better than garden of Eden. His resurrection then becomes our transition out this world of pains, suffering and death to a stress- free city where we will never die.
Death itself has a finally destination, let me show you. Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
We have everlasting life in us. God bless you.

* I resurrect with Christ and I will reign with him eternally.
