DAY 7: DIVINE ILLUMINATION.
Text: Psalms 35:1-5.
1: I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2: My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3: O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4: I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5: They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
Let’s take three definitions of Illumination:
1, The quality or amount of light.
2, An interpretation that removes obstacles to understanding.
3, A condition of spiritual awareness.
Light is so important that God needed it at creation. His Spirit moved over the surface of the deep and he discovered that light is needed before he could do anything. Gen 1:1.
Everyone needs light, confusion is the absence of light, lack of proper understanding about the affairs of one’s life is also the absence of light. A man without divine illumination will be prone to mistakes, wrong investments, wrong decisions.
HOW CAN ONE BE ILLUMINATED?
Verse 5 of our text is explicit about this; They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. Looking unto the Lord, waiting upon him, is a way to access divine illumination, as we wait upon the Lord he shines his face upon us.
PRAYER.
* Lighten up my life Lord.
* Help me to see clearly.
* Lighten up my spirit.
* Illuminate my mind.
* Let darkness be extinct from my life.
* Help me to take right decisions always.
* Reveal to me Lord every secret I need to know in Jesus name.
