PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
3rd April, 2025.
Topic: ATTRACTING OF HIS GLORY.
Text: Exodus 40:33-35.
33: And he erected the court round about the tabernacle and the altar and set up the hanging or screen at the court gate. So Moses finished the work.
34: Then the cloud [the Shekinah, God’s visible presence] covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle!
35: And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. Amplified.
God is full of glory, but not everyone experience his glory. If any man attracted God’s glory in bible days, Moses was one, Let’s take a study about his relationship with God.
As I study the book of Exodus, a good part of if appears boring to me; the passages where God was giving instructions to Moses about the Tabernacle, the detailed information about the tabernacle appear not interesting, but I read through to the end trusting God for revelation, I never knew why the bible contains details of the tabernacle until I got to the last chapter.
Look at verse 33 of the last chapter; And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work. The instructions that appear boring while read was dully carried out by Moses, if it was boring reading, just imagine how tedious it will be obeying those instructions. the later part of verse 33 says, ‘ ..so Moses finished the work ‘.
Verse 34 started with the word ‘THEN‘ all the four versions I have on my device used the same word ‘then‘. It means after Moses had obeyed all instructions Then the cloud [the Shekinah, God’s visible presence] covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle! Amplified. After he had carried out all his instructions to the later, he obeyed every bit of instructions God gave about the tabernacle.
How do I know that Moses obeyed all instructions about the tabernacle? Numbers 12:7 But not so with My servant Moses; he is entrusted and faithful in all My house.
Let me come out this way for clearer understanding of what I am sharing here; you have a picture of your dream house, you have resources to build it, you instructed your builder on what to build and he built according to specifications, you will definitely be glad moving in, God also had specifications, he instructed Moses on what to do, how it will look, he made people to provide resources/materials and Moses built according to specifications.
Just as you will move in with Joy, God moved into the tabernacle in his shekinah, his visible presence.
What do we take from this? When obedience to divine instructions is in place, divine visitation is inevitable. Obedience to God’s word attracts God’s presence and glory. In verse 34 God came into the tabernacle and his glory filled it. His presence attracts his glory, while obedience attracts his presence. If you must enjoy God’s glory you must perpetually live in obedience to his word. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* I receive grace Lord to live in obedience of your word in Jesus name.
