Topic: THE BLESSEDNESS OF UPRIGHTNESS
Text: Psalms 84: 11,12.
11: For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
12: O Lord of hosts, blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts in You [leaning and believing on You, committing all and confidently looking to You, and that without fear or misgiving]! Amplified.
God blesses everyone with what is called general blessings, rain falls both on the wicked and the righteous, but there are special blessings reserved for those who are dear to him.
God made us in his image and there are some attributes of God that man didn’t lose even after his fall in the garden of Eden. No sane man lives in loneliness just as God chose to make man he can relate with. Just as you have some people that are dear to you in like manner some people are dear to God, and we can find scriptures talking about such people.
Look at this from our text: No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. He is committed to giving anyone who lives uprightly good things of life.
’ No good things ‘ connotes he will satisfy him with good things of life. God is true to his word if we can live uprightly he will supply all that we need in life. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* I choose uprightness in all my ways, Lord help me in Jesus name.
