Topic: ATTRACTING HIS GLORY .. part 2.
Text: Exodus 25:9,40. 26:30.
25:9 You must build this Tabernacle and its furnishings exactly according to the pattern I will show you.
25:40 “Be sure that you make everything according to the pattern I have shown you here on the mountain.
26: 30. “Set up this Tabernacle according to the pattern you were shown on the mountain. NLT.
What attracted God was the Tabernacle, God came into the Tabernacle in manner that no one could enter not even Moses. Exodus 40:35. He came because Moses met specifications given to him.
Construction is not an easy task, a well furnished building requires the combinations of professionals; An architect, a civil engineer, a structural engineer, an experienced supervisor and good artisans.
Many a times, there are pockets of irregularities, non conformity. My question is how was Moses able to meet God’s specifications for his choice habitation?
Look at verse 9 of Exodus 25 You must build this Tabernacle and its furnishings exactly according to the pattern I will show you NLT. Do you notice two words emphasizing conformity, ‘ exactly according ‘. the word according should have been sufficient for God to pass his message to Moses, but he went further to include the word ‘ exactly ‘.
I see God telling Moses, ‘ I have zero tolerance for nonconformity’. God’s choice Tabernacle must be built according to God’s specifications, Moses’ opinion is not needed in this matter, he mustn’t try to adjust anything.
If a dimensions was 3.5 metres, he was not permitted to reduce it 3.4metres, Moses wouldn’t say, ‘we can’t afford to waste this material that is 3.4 meters let’s manage it as 3.5m.
You see when you study the Bible give attention to details, interpret words in the context they are written. It was a great task for Moses, but he followed the instructions to the later.
Every man that will attract God’s presence and glory must always give attention to details of God’s word. Anyone who lives in compromise can’t get much from God, everyone that experienced God’s presence and move in bible days didn’t joke with his word, even God himself doesn’t joke with his word, how do I know? Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Giving rapt attention and prompt response to his word attract his presence and glory.
* Disobedience to God’s word brought King Saul’s kingdom to an end.
* Disobedience made King Uzziah ended up as a leper 2 Chronicles 26.
* King Josiah died untimely because of disobedience 2 Chronicles 35.
* Disobedience of Adam brought the entire human race to this world of suffering.
* Even Jesus was made to pass through obedience test before he because king of Kings and Lord of lords Philippians 2.
You must pass this test if you must experience God’s unusual presence and glory. Living your life daily in obedience to God’s word. Exactly According as you have been instructed in the bible. Your life must be patterned exactly according to divine specifications. God bless you.
