DAY 16: ANOINTED FOR GREATER THINGS.
Text: Acts 13:1-3.
1: Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2: As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3: And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
God uses the lives of his children to showcase his wonders. The world can only know how great he is through our lives. He is committed to doing great works in our lives by manifesting his great power.
It is important you know that there is anointing for great works, doing great things, achieving great things.
In 1 Samuel 16:13 David was anointed look at it here: Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah. In the next chapter (17) he killed Goliath.
Anointing precedes victory, King Saul was also anointed before leading Israel to war, even Jesus was anointed before he started great works, how do I know?
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. You need anointing if you must do great works. Only sin can disqualify you from receiving the anointing.
PRAYER.
* Lord purge me from every sin that will hinder the flow of the anointing.
* Lord, let not my head lack oil.
* Anoint me for great works.
* Anoint me for supernatural.
* I need fresh anointing Lord.
* Let my cup run over in Jesus name.
